Never Procrastinate

It’s been a while I’ve written something here. As I have already mentioned in a post before, getting back to the study mode is finding to be a difficult task everyday. The assignments of MBA are coming my way every once in a while. But the real struggle is to get them all submitted on time.

However, I enjoy studying again, a lot. Reading the educational books, and spending hours and hours in the library takes my memory back to the days in the university. Even though the subjects have become a bit advanced, the feeling is more or less the same.

The topic starts to relate to the title of the post right now. The last assignment was a real killer, which I happened to go through financial statements of the companies and getting myself familiar with all the financial terms and equations were a real drama. I accepted the challenge (of course I had to), and prepared myself little by little for the assignment. The journey became so harder due to the fact that I haven’t touched anything related to it in any part of my education. However, the subject was interesting, and sometimes it made myself to drift away from the initial target.

I was literally covered in sweat when the submission date came closer and closer. How much I planned to cover a certain word limit for a day, I felt exhausted after going home from office. I would have done a better job if I had started a bit earlier, where I was interested in gathering and reading a lot of background information.

The job was done, finally. But I didn’t like the feeling at the end. Why should I push myself into such extremes in terms of pressure and stress levels? They were all created by us, where we would have identified and attended to those in the early phases of time.

Again, there is nothing good will come in our way by procrastinating stuff. As everyone says (it’s actually easier said than done) the best time to do something is right now. If we can think of it now, why can’t we find time to act upon it. And again, who knows if the same opportunities will come again in the future?

Once we train our mind to take prompt actions, we’ll be able to save a lot of time. And more importantly, we’ll be able to open many doors. Who has all the time in the world to wait for something to happen? Who knows how many days are left for us in this world?

So, quit dreaming. Wake up. And make dreams a reality, because there is no one in this world who would do that for you!!
